Mission
The mission of Middle School 390 is to provide a structured, safe, and supportive environment where students, parents, and staff focus on “Inspiring Greatness” through:
Academic achievement: A rigorous learning experience empowers students to succeed.
Diversity: Respect each person’s unique background and beliefs; embrace the rich perspectives that different backgrounds bring and use their collective power to make a difference in the classroom and beyond.

Vision
Our vision as a middle school is to educate all students by meeting their individual and social emotional needs in a technological integrated school environment. The goal is to instill the intellectual values necessary for each child to achieve his/her maximum potential as a productive citizen of the world.
Bilingual Education
The goal of our Dual Language Program at M.S. 390 is to graduate students who are fully bilingual, biliterate, and multicultural so they can be competitive citizens in our diverse society. They meet high expectations by performing academically at levels equivalent to their peers in monolingual classes.
Through the instruction of two languages (English and Spanish), students develop academic proficiency in most subjects – Native Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Multimedia Design. They demonstrate growth in first and second language development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
